The Story Behind The Song

Another song from the show "I Had A Ball," this song was a highlight in Act Two and was belted out by Karen Morrow. It developed in a large production number with a turn by an authentic belly dancer and usually was a showstopper.

After we recorded the original cast album of our show, Karen had a special session with Mercury Records who then issued a single with two of Karen's songs: "Almost" and "I Had A Ball." Broadway Decca is re-releasing the original cast album plus a bonus record of Karen's two solos.
